.... Japan ... week 2 ... the start of it ...

So yeah .. Week 2 has started with a big bang !!

Haha .. a lot of nights out and a lot of work, but not a lot of Snow !! We managed to go skiing in Goryu twice ... but only 2 runs opened ...

And i caught a Cold ... well it's the start of it, so lots of Orange Juice and I will be taking my cold pills that I brought ... ( thank god for me packing a whole pharmacy of cold tablets ) ...

Besides that nothing much but good times, good fun and good peeps !!

WEEK 1 ...

Well, the first week is officially over and went by so fast, so many things to do and see ...

So, The first few days were actually awful, Air Canada lost my luggage, so no clothing, no NOTHING !! I got my suitcase and lugage on Friday, I must say that the shower was AMAZING! Then Saturday was a day off to do our stuff, get organized...

Sunday, we had a few meetings about ski school and Evergreen, Monday we had an orientation walk on the main hill, and also a ski school meeting... Tuesday was soccer match ( or football as they would call it here ) ... so many brits and auzies and kiwis !!
Wednesday morning or today ... we had a orientation walk on another hill called Goryu ... and then we had the afternoon off to do stuff !!!

So yeah that's about it ...

Whistler... part 2

Last night in Whistler,

Today was the riding part of the CASI course but everything went well even if my ankle was really sore at one point. The snow was AMAZING... I wish we could get that type of snow in Quebec and also that type of resort !! WOW ...

Last night I went up to Pemberton to see my friend Phil !! I hadnt seen him in over a year so it was amazing to see him at the other side of the country in the smallest most local bar ever !! The Pony Espresso !!

Tomorrow morning, we're heading to Vancouver and I'm meeting up with my very very good friend Jenna ... I'm so anxious to see her, It's almost been a year since I've seen her !!!

By the way, I'll be posting pictures of Whistler shortly ... I've got a few good ones :)

Whistler...

Whistler... whistler... whistler ...

Day 1 :

We left Tremblant yesterday morning, and had to go trough freezing rain, snow and then traffic... worst morning in history !! My ankle was still very sore and I was limping all morning !! We got in Montreal, I picked up my visa at the consulate of Japan and then we headed towards the airport !!

When we finally arrived at the airport, we got some food and my sister Annik and Guillaume arrived 10 minutes before we had to go through security !!! I was so happy to see my little sister show up for my departure ( if you read this... I love you a lot, and I will miss too much ... be good... jtm fort el soeuro )

After security, I limped to the gate which was at the other end completely !!!! Got on board and off we went to Vancouver ! I mostly slept during the flight, lack of sleep, lack of anything to do on the place and also because the guy siiting next to me probably tought that he owned the whole row... His feet where one my side as well as his elbows.. at that point he probably should of just sat on me !! this is for you plane guy : DOUCHEBAG !!

We finally landed in Vancouver and went to get the rental car and prepared to battle the Vancouver traffic.. We forfeited downtown and stopped at a White Spot restaurant to let the traffic thin out !! And we finally proceeded to head to Whistler.

Arrived in Whistler, we got our room at the hotel and crashed !!! What a day !!!!!!


Day 2 :

So I woke up this morning, to a slightly reddish-purple ankle and very sore ankle !!! So we drove around a bit and found a place to eat breakfast, the place is called Element, the food was amazing, I had the smoked salmon Benedict !!
And then stopped by the clinic, met the doctor, showed him my ankle and he immediately said that I had pulled a ligament and that I tore a ligament also ... He told me I could still snowboard but I had to tape my ankle or wear a ankle brace...
I bought an ankle brace and amazingly I feel AWESOME !!! Tomorrow I am going to kill it on the slopes !!! And I have my CASI course also...

Montreal!!

Just got back from Montreal ... it's a bit late but I was up talking with my sister. Me and my roommate Guillaume went down to Montreal and ate at Les Folies ( restaurant on Mont-Royal close to St-Denis), dinner was really nice, good friends, good food and good music !! Could I ask any better !!!

I am so happy that my friends showed up... My best friend was MIA ( Missing In Action) but whatever, slowly but surely I get used to him not showing up from the big moments in my life .... we all have a friend like that !!

We ended up finishing the night at Chez Normand (a tavern on Mont-Royal) maybe 10-15 minutes away by foot from the restaurant ! Once again good music and my friends with me made this memorable !!

We walked back to the car before heading back to Tremblant, and I missed my step getting into the car. I think I sprained my right ankle... dont worry, I am still leaving on Friday morning... I just hope it's nothing serious !! I'm thinking of maybe going to the doctors tomorrow just to be sure ... we'll see in the morning !!

So that's it for the night ... Tomorrow is my LAST day in Quebec !!! And also big dinner party at our house !!! See y'all there !!!

Packed bags

2 days before leaving Quebec for 6 months !!!

And I have finally managed to pack my bags, Altough I have a few more things to pack this is what my next 6 months will look like ...



.. oh yeah ... 6 months in those 3 tiny bags... I think I actually am beating records for a women !!

Tomorrow night is Montreal party at the restaurant Les Folies ont Mont-Royal, cute little place with good music and amazing food !!

Turning Japanese...

So here it is ... 3 days away from leaving, my bag isn't packed yet, procrastination is keeping me from doing anything! I guess leaving my roommates, friends and family is always a bit hard. Tomorrow, Monday November 22nd I intend on packing my bag and start to clean up. I've already cleaned what was my room and Guillaume has moved upstairs ( I'm now writing from the basement).

So here is the itinerary, I'm leaving Tremblant on the morning of Friday the 26th ... hoping on a place to Vancouver, going to Whistler for 4 nights, I have a CASI course to attend.
Tuesday November 30th is the final day in Canada !! Hoping on the plane to Narita, Japan !!!! And sleeping ( a bit... or not at all ) at the Crown Plaza ANA Narita to head early in the morning toward Evergreen Outdoor Center where I will be staying :)

A lot to do and not a lot of time but I am looking forward to go!! I will be posting pictures frequently and letting you all know what's happening !!

( I chose English just because it is easier for everybody to understand .... and if you don't understand email me .. I'll translate !!)
